I’m loving the packaging re-design Kellogg’s have put out to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee. Inspired by 1950’s design, Kellogg’s have made their cereal boxes all retro, and it looks great. Simple typography combined with naive illustrations of their relevant mascots - Tony the Tiger looks year’s younger (probably Botox)!

Picked up a box of Corn Flakes the other day, prefer this to todays design!

Video Game High School (VGHS) - Ep. 1 by freddiew.

This is the most amazing game-related film I’ve ever seen, they’ve really pulled out the big guns on this (pun intended).

The quality of it is better than a prime time drama. Can’t wait to see more of this.

Dreamwave comics were the best at illustrating the classic style of Transformers, in my opinion anyway. The combination of block shapes, gloss finishes and cracked metal kept them in a current style yet echoed so much of the style in the classic tv shows, film and box art from the 80s. Sadly Dreamwave shut down in 2005, cutting short the only comic book series I really read.

This colourful blocky style was kept throughout the Transformer Generations though, which could also be a contributing reason as to why many fans didn’t like the style from the recent movies.

Anyway check out the image above, created by the illustrators at Dreamwave. This shows every incarnation of Optimus Prime there has ever been (up to 2005). I can count 6 that I actually own as toys.
